Alcohol Awareness Week – 7-11 July
7-11 July marks Alcohol Awareness Week, a national campaign aimed at highlighting the risks associated with alcohol misuse and promoting healthier choices and support services. Running from 7-11 July, the theme this year is “Alcohol & Work”, encouraging open, honest conversations about drinking and its impact on work.
According to health experts, alcohol contributes to over 200 health conditions, including liver disease, mental health disorders, and some cancers. While many people enjoy alcohol responsibly, Alcohol Awareness Week is a chance to reflect on how drinking affects not only individuals, but also families, workplaces, and the wider society.
