Managing your health and contacting the practice has never been easier.
With online services, you can reach us during our opening hours at a time that suits you, without waiting on the phone or needing to visit the surgery.
We encourage all patients who can use the internet to contact us online. If you’re unable to go online, you can still get in touch by phone or in person as usual.
Our online tools are safe, confidential and easy to use. You can use online services to do things like:
- Submit a medical or admin request using our online system (Anima)
- Ask questions about your medication (Anima)
- Book, cancel or check appointments
- Order repeat prescriptions (NHS App)
- View your test results and health record (NHS App)
- Update your contact details
Every request is sent directly to our team and triaged just like a phone call. This helps us make sure you get the right care, in the right way, as quickly as possible.

Anima

Anima is available for online medical and admin requests.
You can submit a medical or admin request online at any time during our opening hours (Mon-Fri, 8am-6.30pm) without needing to call and queue on the phone or travel to the surgery.
Systems like Anima ask structured clinical questions, helping the practice understand your issue quickly and prioritise your requests appropriately (urgent, routine, self-care, etc.).
Requests can often be resolved by text/email, phone, and video consultation, without needing a face-to-face appointment, saving you travel and waiting time.
Anima and our website offer translation tools, larger text options, and the ability to type rather than talk can help those with hearing, language, or anxiety barriers.
You must have your own email address or NHS online account to create your Anima account, be registered as a patient with Meon Health Practice, and be aged 13 years or older.
Younger children and other dependants can be added to your Anima account once you sign up (below).

NHS App

The NHS App is a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet. Alternatively, you can use your NHS login on a laptop or computer.
The NHS App puts you in control of your healthcare from your smartphone, tablet, or computer.
It’s free to download and simple to use. You can use the NHS App to:
- request a repeat prescription
- choose a pharmacy for your prescription to be sent to
- view test results and your health record
- book some appointments, e.g.: blood tests, cervical screenings
- get NHS advice for your symptoms
- track most hospital referrals and appointments
- find your NHS number and more

Patient Access

Some patients choose to use Patient Access in a similar way to the NHS App. If you already use Patient Access you can continue to use it, but you can use the NHS App as well.
Patient Access lets you connect directly with our GP surgery team from home, work, or on the go.
It’s a free online service and app that gives you convenient access to parts of your GP record and everyday services.
