Alert: Important Update: Appointment availability in December

We understand how important it is to access healthcare when you need it. Unfortunately, due to increased demand, winter illnesses, staff shortages, and the ongoing pressure on our services, we are currently having to concentrate our time on looking after patients with urgent problems only.

All patients who have pre-existing routine appointments or have already let us know you need a routine appointment will be seen or contacted as planned unless we have individually contacted you to reschedule.

If you are not sure if your medical problem is urgent then please visit NHS 111 online at www.111.nhs.uk or for children: www.what0-18.nhs.uk to get advice about what you should do next.

Other healthcare options are also available if you need medical advice as follows:

• NHS Urgent Treatment Centres and Community Pharmacies are equipped to deal with minor injuries and illnesses: www.nhs.uk/service-search/pharmacy
• The Pharmacy First service can help offer a clinical consultation and prescribe treatment for a range of illnesses: www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/pharmacies/how-pharmacies-can-help/

Please go to a hospital’s Emergency Department for life-threatening accidents and emergencies or call 999.

We thank you for your patience and understanding, and please be reassured that we are working hard to address these challenges and really appreciate your patience.
